break down barriers, ignore limits

Hello blog readers!

This week I want to show you an example of knee ripped jeans. Well, I got these ones from my aunt. After weeks of decent life, this jeans went really wild when a couple of days ago I decided to rip & distress them. All you need are a pair of jeans, a pair of scissors and some inspiration (now you know where you can find it :)).Looking forward to know your opinions and what you would like to see in the weekly DIY section!

lots of hugs & have an exquisite weekend!

Peplum & Trends

Peplum here, peplum there, peplum everywhere!

Fashionistas all around the world have been wearing it last spring, and the peplum  trend continues for fall 2012. Now, really? When did peplum ever go away? I bought this ruffle sleeve peplum top about 3 years ago, when I was obsessed with things that make the waist look tiny. I wore it yesterday with a pair of skinny jeans, ballet flats and a short statement necklace  for a fabulous day outfit.

I read about trends and stuff, but I'm definitely not a trend-driven person. Most of all I believe in personal style and charisma! If you wear something that does not fit you, it reads all over you!
What do you choose? To be trendy or stylish?

Urban Princess

there is a princess in every girl

Since the "white-horse-riding prince charming" is the new bad boy in town, the princess relies only on herself to get the best of everything she wants. She is nice and intelligent, stylish and sophisticated, poised and adventurous. Vintage fairs and second-hand stores are her new obsession & you will always find her rocking the park (with prince charming, of course). The new urban princess is the girl you want to know more about, the girl you want to look like, the girl you say you hate...but you secretly love her!

Want to know what an urban princess wears?:) Take a look here!

Cherchez la femme

simplicity is the ultimate sophistication

These photos were not meant to be a blog post, they are for a contest held by my favorite printed magazine ever - ELLE. The "Cherchez la femme" T-shirt came with the September issue of ELLE Romania as a gift. The readers were asked to show their way of styling this cool piece. I combined it with a skirt I simply adore, as it used to be my mother's! Looking forward to know your opinions & wish me good luck! :)

Back to School

Ding ding ding! The bell is ringing! It's September, so hurry back to classes! :)

Back to school is one of my fav trends this season. Fall 2012's schoolgirl can be innocent, rebellious or a mix-up of this two attitudes. This season finds new ways to be inspired by school uniforms that go beyond the usual cliche.
Your homework for Monday?! Find your way to turn a "uniform" into something individual! The mix of inspiration is a huge one!

See what I'm wearing here on my Lookbook profile & don't forget to hype!

midnight walk

What I take from my nights, I add to my days.

Moving to a new city, gets you doing and seeing everyday something new. Last night, for example, during a walk I realized I was wearing 2 very important in my wardrobe DIY pieces: the ripped T-shirt and the bleached jeans. If you like it, there are thousands of tutorials on internet, don't hesitate, just go for it!

Cute dresses, hair buns, bows, heels would all complete a girly look. I chose a low-waist ruffle neck dress and beige pointed high heels. The key&bow necklace and the layered bracelets add a bit of edge and character to the outfit, but still make me a cutie.

A big thanks to my beautiful friend Maya! So far, she has been taking all these amazing photos of me!     Isn't she a sweetheart?

believe in your flyness, conquer your shyness

If you're tired of your (old) denim jacket or shirt, you can swap it for a sleeveless alternative. A great denim vest is a versatile addition to every wardrobe and you can have it with a little DIY magic! You can wear it over your favorite floral dress, paired with a maxi skirt/tank or as in my case with leggings, a bra top & sneakers

eternal summer

“Summer will end soon enough, and childhood as well.”

In this photos you can see another DIY piece. It is a second hand dress I bought for about 2$, from which I made this short front long back dress with
horizontal fringe personally cut out on the right side. I simply love the result!
