new year's resolutions... from the inside out

The end of the year is the time to focus on what we've done, and what we strive to do, whether it’s improving our personal or professional life or creating a wellness vision. It is definitely a popular time for setting goals!

Every year I set resolutions, that are supposed to bring me happiness and make my life fuller. Sometimes I keep them,  sometimes I don't... and I carry them through the next year or even years :) My problem is that I set too many! So, this year I decided to have less resolutions and make them simpler:

1. Focus on what I need vs. what I want, because most of the time "less is more"

2. Take care of my body and soul (getting back into yoga)

3. Make new friends (but most of all keep old friends)

4. De-clutter my relationships (let go of those people that bring more negativity than inspiration in my life or bring down my sunshine)

5. Give more than I receive (more love, attention, understanding, support, love, love, love...)

6. Travel and invest in experiences and not things

All these resolutions go hand in hand with the (all time) little ones like read & sleep more, eat healthier, be thankful, have fun, go out, do crazy stupid things, etc... and most of all love everything about life!

Happy New Year to you all!

Eggplant Purple and Olive Green

Colors, like features, follow the changes of the emotions.
Pablo Picasso

"Eggplant purple and olive green"  may sound funny and awkward, but it perfectly describes my colorful sporty chic outfit! This photos were taken 2 weeks ago, before the whole winter fairy-tale started. Now I'm home, in Chisinau, enjoying the magical view of my mom's garden and drinking Earl Grey all day long. Didn't manage to get out yet and take some photos, as being home and doing nothing feels too good!

Enjoy the holiday spirit and stay true to your feelings!

You should see my "birdie" rings in this photo ;)

Winter Love

This winter I've been caught in a pom pom romance!

Pom pom beanies/hats are a playful way to add some fun to your winter outfits. This oat knitted bobble hat with cable detail and large pom would go with just about anything.
Even when it's not so cold outside, these head wear pieces are the perfect accessory. Knit and felt hats, beanies and berets are nice and cozy!

Have a happy, productive Monday, my friends!

Happy 3 pom poms and a fur trapper hat ;)

Style Heroes by журнал Вкус Жизни - Taste of Life

Last week appeared the first edition of the online street style project Style Heroes by журнал Вкус Жизни - Taste of Life, a Moldovan lifestyle magazine. I think it is the first-of-its-kind project in my country, considering the fact that there are participants from all around the world. Every week you will have the possibility to see new looks from the Heroes and discover different street fashion styles!

This is my second look for Style Heroes ;)

My gorgeous friend Crina is another Style Hero to keep an eye on! ;)
 Don't miss the next editions,

Mountain Escapade

I'm in love with mountains since childhood and this feeling is getting stronger with each and every year.
For us, mountain escapades are one of the best things about living in Romania. Having friends who feel the same is great, but having a birthday party during weekend mountain breaks is way too much fun!

Joyful Season

"Blessed is the season which engages the whole world in a conspiracy of love."

Do you know those long walks with soul talks, that relax and inspire at the same time?
Well, this is exactly what my friend Ana and I had last night and it was perfect!

XoXo, happy Daniela

Sweet December

Here is the outfit I've been talking lately!
It's all about comfort, warmth and coziness, just like December is!
Yesterday we went to see a Romanian Christmas film - "Ho Ho Ho 2". It really got us into the holiday spirit, which made us do a little Christmas decorating at our place!

“Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.”

Last night's Christmas decorating

I've been a good, good girl this year and St. Nicholas brought me some macarons :D But most important - he brought us joy and put the spirit of childhood in our hearts!

Wish you all love...

 ...and a happy December!
